an intern's work is never done...
somewhere between memphis and norfolk trixie got
beat-up!  recovering from the horror of seeing my
precious cow torn up, i was informed that three
months ago a dog ate my maquette!
that's right! your eyes aren't tricking you! when i went down to
norfolk to do another little internship and a quick tour with trixie
and matt, i was told that a dog in the office had rummaged under
someone's desk and eaten my
maquette!  i was very sad, more so
that no one had told me about when it happened back in october,
but i had to move on and spend a couple of days mending trixie,
which were fun!
the rundown of my winter internship:
there were countless scuffed up places
that i couldn't fix...ryan said they added
to the effect and looked like bruises, i
hope other people think that too!
there was so much damage, i was truly
hurt that peta had not taken the time to
care for the sculpture like the work of
art that it is.  it was heart wrenching to
see my creation in such disrepair...
there were a couple of places (like
above) where the force against the
piece was so strong that it cut into the
resin (above mar is about 1/8" deep)
this stabbing was fairly deep though
not as bad as the one in memphis
when i had to pull out the needle with
pliers...that one was just gross
diligently sewing-up the tears on trixie
to the left: outside of peta's world
headquarters
to the right and below: inside the peta
van in the parking lot because it was
just too cold!!!
